My Desire is to be More like Christ


My desire is to be more like Jesus Christ.

Since God is love, then John Thomas desires to be love.

Therefore, John Thomas is patient.  John Thomas is kind.
He does not envy.  He does not boast.  He is not proud.
He is not self seeking.  He is not easily angered.  He keeps no record of wrongs.
John Thomas does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
He always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

God never fails.

Love never fails.

Although I shall fail often,  I shall spend the rest of my days trying to become love

    JT...My spiritual director years ago, gave me the same Corinthians passage to insert 'my name' and to attempt to live up to it. I also fail, but try daily. When can we get together? Give me your address info again, and let's talk about when I can come visit...

      For a number of reasons I have turned into a recluse. Traffic jams are one pet peeve that has created the need for me to seek and pursue being in a state of contentment. I seem to be drawn to mediation more than ever before. God tells us, "Be silent before and know He is God!"

      My main desire is live not exist. Commune with God rather to seek my own way. Focus on what I can do rather than what I can not. Know that our Lord Jesus Christ has blessed this request.

    JT, I await your reply to my letter. I visit with you every Saturday morning, in my prayers and by checking your site for any latest and communications, but I do desire to see you face to face, to at least talk to you on the phone. Please call, reply, let's do this!
