Day 7, The Reason For Everything, Journaling thru The Purpose Driven Life

This day is so profound, that I am going to find it difficult to put what Rick Warren has written in a summary so I am going to quote him.  This day, I feel, sets the tone for the five basic principles he teaches in the remainder of  his book.  So I will put my thoughts in parenthesis when I want to say something.  It is the only way I know how to journal this profound reading.
Everything comes from God alone.  Everything lives by His power and everything is for His glory.  Romans 11:36      “The Lord has made everything for his own purposes.”  Proverbs 16:4
What is the glory of God?  It is the essence of his nature, the weight of his importance, the radiance of his splendor, the demonstration of his power, and the atmosphere of his presence.
Where is the glory of God – just look around.  (That’s my favorite part of life-I love to get atmosphere from nature, architectural designs, birds, kids, people, -I kind of discount snakes and spiders and of course mice.)
(In using numerous scripture references Rick Warren writes what we are commanded to do;)
Recognize His glory,              Honor His Glory             Declare His Glory           Praise His glory,                     Reflect His Glory                    Live for His Glory
In the entire universe, only two of God’s creations fail to bring glory to him   1)fallen angels (demons)  and 2) us His people.   (But for us,, who have given God the full glory of our lives, we must remember our fallen nature and that the devi is as a roaring lion walking about, seeking whom he may devour.)
There are many ways to bring glory to God and they cana be summarized in God’s five purposes for your life.  (They will be explained in detail as we go along).
1)  We bring God glory by worhiping Him.  2)  We bring glory by loving other believers   3) We bring glory by becoming like Christ.  4)  We bring God glory by serving others with our gifts     5) We bring God glory by telling others about Him.
Living the rest of your life for the glory of God will require a change your priorities, your schedule, your relationships and everything else.  Will you live for your own goals, comfort and pleasure, or will you live for the rest of your for God’s glory.
Jesus will give you everything you need to live for him.  Where in my daily routine can I become more aware of God’s glory?
Thank you for visiting my blog I hope day 7 will help us all realize that there truly is reason for everything in our lives.  I may not understand why we go through the things we all go through and why have we lost our loved ones, why we experience abuse from others, why the sickness, why the mental illness etc. - but I do believe that when we honor God with our lives, we will be more aware of our loving God and God will see us through every difficult situation.
Do you know someone you could come along the side of and be an encourager, be a listener and help draw them into a closer, intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father?  We are ambassadors for Christ, how are you doing?
